Terrence, a co-parent of a Miniature Schnauzer Braxton, and the father of a beautiful daughter Jasmyne, enjoys eating seafood and spicy Thai food (the hotter, the better), binging Real Housewives, and creating memorable moments with friends, family, and his partner Gregory. Terrence uses this grounding every day with his work at Fireside Campaigns to help create progressive fundraising and digital organizing strategies for the various clients and organizations he serves. This firm seeks to center those directly impacted by systems of oppression and believes they should be at the forefront of building strategies, solutions, and alternative futures. and spends his spare time as a Digital and Creative Strategist for Can’t Stop! Won’t Stop! Consulting. Terrence is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Elected by his peers with support from leaders representing 26 chapters of Impulse United from around the globe and local LGBTQ community members, Terrence is now serving as President. This is an entertainment-based nonprofit organization funded by AIDS Healthcare Foundation to address sexual wellness, mental health, substance use, and racial equity in fun and engaging ways. Still a huge fan of the singer today, this work launched his own graphic design company, Ford Illustra.įor seven years and since its founding, Terrence served as the Director of Marketing for the Washington, DC chapter of Impulse Group. Terrence’s digital organizing and strategy work began in the late 90s as a moderator and graphic designer for a fan club dedicated to the legendary Whitney Houston. Living in the Washington, DC area for the last 20 years, Terrence’s background largely consists of social work, where he gained experience creating person-centered and community grounded opportunities for people living with HIV and AIDS, low-income families, at-risk students, and youth, and those diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He later studied Adlerian Psychology with a concentration in Guidance and Counseling Education from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Smith University in Charlotte, NC obtaining his BA in Psychology. Hailing from Wingdale, NY (a small town 90-minutes north of Manhattan), Terrence matriculated through Johnson C. Ford joined the Fireside Campaigns team in December 2021 as Digital Principal. Through her creative and professional roles, Mariel consistently prioritizes her commitments to social and economic justice, the democratic process, environmental preservation, and the betterment of her local community. Mariel also participates consistently in the New York City elections, actively assisting voters as a Poll Worker. In August, she organized Urban Studio’s Instagram art fundraiser “Facing Change 2020” which raised over $700 for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Trans Women of Color Collective. With Urban Studio, Mariel conceptualized/curated Homegrown at The Museum at FIT, a home and community-themed art exhibition which showcased the diversity and multiculturalism of New York City. At her alma mater, she pioneered progressive projects as President of Urban Studio, a student organization that provides professional development for emerging artists. Mariel joined Fireside as a Digital Fundraising Intern in September of 2020 after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in May 2020.
